puc+
Does anybody know this device ?
It the only gadget I found that converts USB Midi coming from a device to BlueTooth to get it into Reaper.
Does anybody know if / how it can work with Windows 7 (e.g. via a MidiBud Adapter) ?
Or does anybody know any other way to connect a device featuring Midi via USB wirelessly to Reaper on a PC (including Battery Power for the device) ?
Thanks,
-Michael

Of course I did find all this, but all this is 5 pin Midi, and I need Midi over USB on both ends. No 5 pin involved at all.
The only device I found was the puc+ (which is not in stock anywhere).

There's a DIY design with an ESP32 on MidiBox.org:

I'm not sure if it ever got finished...

This module:
-> https://www.digikey.de/product-detai...ddfd3c32f319b9
Features a much more advanced processor chip costs only 8 Euros and is as small as a 1 Euro coin.
Prototype board 13 Euros.

ESP32 is that small too and will have much better support/ide/info FYI. Both will get larger when you add the additional needed components such as power regulation and so on.
What you posted is only the processor/cpu? ESP32 includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a lot of other functionality built in which is why cyrano mentioned. Does the one you posted have any of that? If not, you'll be reinventing the wheel in a very difficult manner.

The link I provided is a module including processor and WiFi/BlueTooth electronics and Antenna.
The Computer Chip is a RP 2040 (dual core, extremely versatile, only $0.60 for mass production, released this year). It features an excellent community driven IDE. I kust finished a nice project with same (non Audio).

Go for it but I can't find that it has BT anywhere nor a spec sheet. The onboard WiFi is by espressif aka same company as the product I mentioned.
That said, I could build what you want pretty easily with the ESP32, sending BT is just serialBT.write(midimessagestring) and serialBT.read(string) on the other end with that device.
Good luck though, you should update the thread when you are done.

Not sure if this is something like what you want but teenage engineering makes the ortho remote which can control midi over Bluetooth.
