Show only one format for each plugin?

I was looking at the "Only show FX matching filter string" section in Plugins preferences, and it got me thinking: is it possible to instruct Reaper to display only one version of each plugin for which there are multiple formats?

What I'd like is to tell Reaper:

If Plugin "X" has a VST3 version, show the VST3, hide all other versions.
If Plugin "X" does not have a VST3 version, show the VST version, hide all other versions.
If plugin "X" has neither a VST3 nor VST version, show the AU version.

...and so forth, just to de-clutter the list. If this isn't built in, perhaps it's possible with a custom extension?

I was asking myself the same, now I just install the VST3 version only (which is basically always a possibility).
But I do agree this would be nice.

Terrible response, but there is a way. I have it set up that way on my Template. However I can’t remember how I did it!

I found a partial solution for this: In the "add FX" window, right click anywhere in the "All plugins" section then go to "show in FX list" --> "duplicate plugins of different types".

Checking "Show VST3 only if present" gets me most of the way there. However if I have a plugin with only VST and AU formats, it will still show them both. Would be great if you could set up a hierarchy of formats and only show the highest available for each plug.
