(SOLVED) Boring problems when my projects are saved
LINUX Mint 19.03 Cinnamom_x64 - Reaper 6.05
Hi, I create one new project and save it with the "Create subdirectory for project" and "copy all media into project directory" options enabled. Then I go in the path indicated, but what I find is not the complete name that I used for saving the project, but only the first 7 character (see the red circle in the image below), AND the extension of the Reaper file is omitted (see in the image below)... My path for saving the projects is in another internal HDD Is there one way to understand where I wrong? Thanks

I would guess that it's just the file manager hiding the file extensions (including ".18_MY BEAT" for the project folder).

Thanks for your reply... :-) but the file extensions are shown on my system... however it remains to be understood why the created subdirectory is named with only the first 7 characters that I entered thanks again...

I understand why this happens:
is not a good thing to use a dot "." in the project name: I have to use another way to name the projects: 2020.03.19 ----> the problem descrived above appear 2020_03_19 --> works correctly Thanks again for all... Cheers

I did a quick test, and you're right.
REAPER on Windows: OK REAPER on Wine: OK REAPER on Linux (native): BUGGY (BTW, for those who care, the ISO 8601 date format would be 2020-03-19.)
