amazing addon MPL ! really impressive work again !
I wanted to request you if you could make the send fader also control hardware outs if it is not already possible.
It comes handy when there is a lot of hardware and outboard gear to deal with !

warm regards

mpl,
Soft takeover works great thanks for this !

I am still getting jumpy fader control when using the remote script.
I'm binding the Script: mpl_SendFader - set volume (MIDI OSC only).lua to cc from midi controller.
It's fine if you move it slowly but any rapid movement causes a lag and the fader to jump, I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong.

Writing to envelope from the gui direct is smooth though.

Many thanks.

J.

If I understood you right it is because of ReaScript internal update rate (something about 30 times a second + it is reduced by me for some elements to prevent hard CPU usage when redrawing graphics).

It WAS requested and created to have "limited" visual functionality, be lightweight solution in terms of performance/GUI and easy accessible in the project/docker.

This script is NOT a solution, because there is NO problem with REAPER send (routing) system. It is just duplicating existed REAPER features in more user-friendly way.

"a bit hidden and difficult to control" does not mean "missed feature" as you trying to say to anyone. Making it more clear means "user friendly" actually.

I still don't understand what are trying to "solve". Any request, any frustrated user post or something?

Please please stop TonE it's really not helping, everyone knows about the routing system in Reaper, this is a different topic, please stop spamming this thread, I think I speak for everyone, it's hard enough for mpl to keep track of what's going on as it is, thank you kindly.

Hi Everyone.

MPL, you are amazing man. I can't find way to thank you enough your work farther of the donation.

I have one question, Sorry if is something obvious or already answered but I was reading all the threat And I could not find the answer.

Is there a way to open directly the "MPL sendfader" when you click in a send of a track instead the native Control for track of Reaper? .

Thanks in adavanced.

Cheers for everyone ans Thanks Again MPL. My donation it is on it way

Hi MPL.... I'm late to this party, but WoW! what a wonderful script!

I am wondering a couple things:

In the Mixer view of this lua, would it be possible to select the send being operated on by something like just clicking on the meter for it in the Mixer view?

To me, that would be really super instead of having to pick the send from the choice up at the top of the GUI...

OK... then I'm wondering if it might be possible to have versions of this script, where each one is dedicated to a single track so that we could have many instances of the lua on-screen at the same time, each one only showing the sends for a given track? IF something like that IS possible, then I'd wonder more... In something like that I could imagine it being great to just have the Mixer view, and in that being able to tweak vol and pan right on the Mixer GUI itself... so I guess the Mixer could be larger and maybe include a pan dial?

I realize this is a lot to ask for but I just had to ask... forgive me because I'm totally ignorant when it comes to knowing what is or is not possible.

EDIT: donated

Ok ...another thought:

I have one PC with a huge monitor..
I have a docker off to the right of the arrange window

when I put this lua into that docker, the Mixer section view is very small at the bottom and the rest of the GUI takes up everything else...

so I'm wondering if it could be possible to be able to drag the separation between the Mixer and the other area of the GUI so that the Mixer could be much larger???

Default What are the buttons on page 2 (PreEQ PostEQ) do?

hi again,

I'm having trouble to get the function of these two buttons.

When I click them they turn bright grey but nothing seems to happen and I can't find a way to make them dark grey again.

Thanks for your help!

If they are brigher, then ReaEQ instance was succesfully added to send destination track and was properly named ("PreEQ" and "PosEQ", otherwise it will not work). So you can setup (by dragging same buttons/sliders) LP/HP filter cutoff frequency right inside script.
Remove ReaEQ from send destination >> two buttons are dark again.

Wow!! Thank you very much for the fast response and perfect information!

May you want to think about changing the names of the two buttons to something like: SendDest LP/HP PreEQ/PostEQ for all the new users or the ones like myself who occasionally forget some little things ;-)

Really great tool!!! Thanks so much!

Frank

PS: I think there is a little tiny bug in the script... I have a different Default setting loading with each instance of ReaEQ and that one has Band 1 disabled. That seems to cause problems (only one band is added at the end with correct LP and settings. my band number is not getting enabled and the Freq is 20 with the bandwidth that I have chosen for my band 1)
I just tried again with the Factory Default preset where everything works perfectly with band 1 (100Hz, Bandwidth 2)

Another question/feature request if you don't mind...

My monitor setup uses a couple hardware outputs directly from the Master Track of REAPER.

Is it correct that your SendFader Script is only working on regular tracks?

If yes, is it possible to make that available for MasterTrack also?

Many thanks in advance !

Hey mpl!

Another question for a feature request if you don't mind:

There are some scripts out there to "Adjust ALL SEND volumes on selected tracks..." which unfortunately not yet implement Master Track selection...

Would it be possible (without too much work) to implement a shortcut/Mouse Modifier into the script (e.g. the hold Shift-Key) in order to adjust the volumes or pans of all sends at a time?

That would be awesome as it further enhances the usability of that great utility script.

Many, many thanks in advance!

Kind Regards from Germany
Frank

For single track you can use "link" button. Is that enough for you?

(For further questions please discuss stuff in common thread, thanks)

Hey Mikhail, I just had a thought about this script. I would really love to see a mode where all sends are shown, side-by-side, like a mixer (rather than one at a time).
In this mode, the link buttons would allow you to link only certain sends.

Will you be adding the ability to type a value directly for the volume and pan controls? I use this very frequently in REAPER's native routing window.

Here's another more 'out there' idea that would be particularly handy.

In every project, I keep my sends at the start of the track list. At the end of my FX tracks, I have a track set to a 'separator' TCP+MCP layout, labeled ***FX***
It would be really clever if this script of yours could automatically show sends to ALL of those tracks before the separator track (even if they haven't yet been created on the selected track). Increasing the level on any of those 'channel strips' in your script would automatically create the corresponding sends.

If I haven't been clear enough in my description, please let me know and I'll clarify.

And a little typo; you have "Existed sends", which should be "Existing sends".

The PreEQ and PostEQ buttons seem to be broken. They can be enabled, but not disabled and they don't seem to change anything even when they show enabled.

Track contain "aux" and "send" in their name shown in list. ReaEQ works here, it creates eq instance on send channel.

Ahh, sorry, I misunderstood. I thought this was the way to switch between pre/post-fader/etc.

@mpl

Thanks mpl for this fantastic addition.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before:

1) Is it possible to add a dB entry field when double-clicking on your UI's fader?
2) Is it possible for your plugin when touched to not close the built-in Reaper Sends window when it is already open?

Hey MPL,

Thanks so much for making this. This has been one of the things that I have really been missing in Reaper is a proper send fader. Just a couple of questions:

1. Is it possible to have more than one instance of this running so that you can have several floating send faders?

2. And also is it possible to re-skin it to fit with the Pro Tool theme here:
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1999/P...eaperTheme.zip

Hi since I use this script I realize that the cockos plugins in js version no longer appear in my fx list. I only have the vst versions and when I reinstall reaper it doesn't fix my problem Do you know by any chance what I can do to fix it ?

Can we have the js and vst plugins in the same conf ?

I have another question Is it possible to prevent the escape key from undoing horizontal and vertical zoom and scroll please ?
