Default Media Explorer Playrate, Reverse, Random

I love Reaper and would like to see an update to the media explorer so I can stop using the overpriced, buggy PC versions of soundminer and basehead.

1. Playrate control
2. Reverse playback
3. Randomize search results
4. full meta data tagging/editing
5. search history, advanced search, filter categories, etc.
6. improved zooming speed - variable based on consecutive scrolls for example, or zoom markers like in soundminer.

We already have the option to play through selected track in reaper, which essentially replaces the vst rack, though not when you switch tracks, and the databases can be used as tag lists or categories.

Oh yes. Also the media explorer needs some love.

I wish they'd start with proper tag reading for all of the supported file formats. Could it be that Reaper relies on a lib like ffmpeg to read the tags? Neither WAV nor FLAC work for me in Reaper and ffmepg satisfactory when it comes to eg BPM.

Agreed on all of these, especially random and reverse.

Would love a tabbed interface too (i.e. Clover file explorer) for keeping multiple locations/search results open.

Bump, some media explorer love would be great. Obviously metadata editing would be the biggest win, but some smaller changes like random order would be a big boost.
