Default Insert new track Fader & Volume envelope settings reverse

.
I would like my new tracks to be set to a fader Value of -6 and a volume envelope of 0 db.

You can set this in Preferences - Project - Track/send defaults tab.

Under "tracks" you can set the "track volume fader default gain" .

I set this to -6.00 db but when I insert a new track the volume fader is set to 0db and the track envelope is set to -6db.

This happens even with a new install so its not my configuration.

A fix would be welcome. I'm using windows 7 professional sp1, HP Elite 8300.

No problem here. New track has volume I saved in preferences.
Win7 x64 and Reaper v5.95.

Preferences (-> Editing behaviour) -> Automation -> 'When adding volume/pan envelope, apply trim to envelope and reset trim:' set to 'Never'

Wow reaper is getting really cryptic but thanks. If it works I'm happy.
