Hi.

I've been relying on AOT to keep my sanity with the plug gui's and mixer. Unfortunately it does not seem to be working on the current reaper version (6.80), and is no longer updated.

Is there an alternative solution to (automatically) keeping these gui windows on top?

Hmmm, still works here (Win10 - only version I have) with REAPER v6.80. All I can suggest is to make sure the matching window names are in the AOT list and they have a check mark.

Not sure about alternatives, there were some Lua scripts floating around, but off hand I don't of them, maybe check ReaPack.

My only guess is you have the AOT On/Off toggle hotkey set and pressed those keys. BTW thats a Windows hotkey and can be used from anywhere, so you can't use those same keys for say a REAPER shortcut. Other then that glad it still works.

I wanted to use Arrange FX
but I don't have a "reaper-fxfolders.ini" file in my REAPER resource folder.
Maybe you've already answered that in this thread, but I couldn't find it.

Did I miss something?

Using recent versions of REAPER (around v6.12+) you can just drag your favorite fx folders up/down while holding the Control key to reorder them.

If you're using older version of REAPER, go to REAPER main menu > Options > select Show resource path. Copy the exe to the folder it opens, run exe from there. If you added folders to "Folders" in fx browser then then you should have a "reaper-fxfolders.ini" file and the app should find it. If not I'm not sure what could be wrong.

Arrange FX is in my Reaper Resource Folder.
I Launch Arrange FX, a window opens, but a message appears indicating that "reaper-fxfolders.ini" is missing. Incorrect handling ?

So, maybe create a folder in your FX window?
And that will create a reaper-fxfolders.ini file?

You don't need the software then just hold control key down and drag a fav fx folder up/down. (although you can only move one at a time)..

FWIW, I use v6.81 portable on Win10, just tested the exe and still works here, Sorry but no clue why it doesn't for you.

Note: By default (clean install) the FX Browser has a folder named "Folders" with subfolder "Favorites", only if you add a subfolder or delete that Favorites folder will REAPER create the file "reaper-fxfolders.ini".
