Interesting : |

I can contribute decent piano/keyboard and violin work .. well, I can't really record my violin w/ a computer mic and laptop soundcard, so just piano/keyboard for now.

Can offer: Guitars. Either electric/semi or acoustic (nylon/steel). Mostly jazz influenced and very at home with funk/latin/groovey music. I wouldn't really bother if you are after metal, etc.

Check link in signature for sounds.

Would LOVE: Woodwind/brass parts. Piano/keys also interesting. Heck, whatever you would like to offer?

My main influences are Beatles, America, Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel, ELP, Pink Floyd, some Moody Blues, U2, Eagles....

I mainly play acoustic guitar now but also play electric 6 and 12 string and bass.

I can do some keyboard tracks but nothing fancy...mostly ambient stings and stuff.

I can do a few different vocal styles and gravitate toward material with lots of harmony.

Default fringe monster guitarist

I think this is a cool idea. I've never done any online collab before, but I'd be willing to try.

I am primarily an electric guitarist, very versatile - rock, jazz, blues, metal, folksy - but with a very particular style and sound which I tend to classify as kind of "drunken/cubist/detuned". I play somewhat behind and/or ahead of the beat consistently, and tend to seek out melodies/harmonies ouside of the norm. This is not to say I am unable to play straight/intune, I can and do, very sweetly if I choose. I just usually don't.

Check me out on Ninjam's autosong page under the nick "doorthe" if you would like to hear some samples of my playing. Pick a song with more votes for a better quality sample.

I've done some collaborating online......it's mostly passing wma or apes files back forth.
" The Click Track is God" when doing this and having the correct BPM set.

Default Curriculum hehe

Hello there guys,
Well, I'm a brazillian musician/producer/engineer/studio owner.

As a MUSICIAN, I'm a drummer/percussionist. My band, Chimaera, have two released albuns and sits in a progressive metal style. One would say it sounds like Angra/Symphony X/Dream Theater. I also recorded a good number of studio albuns mostly in the rock area. As a percussionist I've recorded a huge number of instruments in a huge number of projects as well, going from reggae to metal. My musical influences are mainly rock/blues, brazillian music and classical music. My preferred drummers are Neil Peart and Kiko Freitas. Preferred percussionist is Naná Vasconcelos.

As a PRODUCER, I've produced a good number of local bands/artists but no international name. I've produced music for bands like Izmalia, Bide ou Balde, Mandala, Hangar, Leviaethan, Forja, Wishcrafft, Tribaue, Forja, Luiz Claudio e a Tribo da Vaneira, Chimaera, ... And smalls labels as well. My main stage when producing is also the blues/rock scene.

As a ENGINEER, I'm used to work with great local producers here as well, peeps like Marcel Van der Zwam, Rodrigo Del Toro, Della Vega, etc. I have 2 degrees as a sound engineer, 7 years of experience and a lot of course extensions. I also teach some workshops on Recording Technics at IGAP (Instituto Gaucho do Audio Profissional) wich is a small audio school in our city. I've done much everything from live to studio work so far in my career, but as a engineer my main focus is working in studio; recording, mixing and assisting in mastering.

As a STUDIO OWNER, I'm the owner of audioFARM. www.audiofarm.com.br

I would love some online project, and experience. Never done one before.

^^I dig Chimaera!

I'd love to do a Collaboration.

I play guitar, bass and some blues harmonica.

My background is Metal, Hard Rock and Blues. I can offer Metal rhythm, lead guitar solos, bass and blues guitar solos.

Most of the collaborations I've done have been solos because usually the song's I've worked on had the rhythms done but needed a solo.

I'd be interested in drums and maybe some vocals.

This thread is really a good idea.

I'm a piano player (mostly classic, pop and, rock styles). I can sing some backing vocals too and give some ideas for arrangements. I'm working mostly with VST instruments.

Here is some of my works (on Cubase. I've come to Reaper only weeks ago).
http://www.noomiz.com/francoisbenest

I'm specially bad in drum/percussion programming. Need help.

moi..old guy..lol.
i like to write original songs/sing in lots of different styles.
one minute a sloppy love song, the next a heavy rock song.
or a daft comedy or a punk song. its all fun to me.
one minute i might do a crooner vocal, the next a dirty rock vocal..lol.
huge fan of the old classic rock songs and the shadows n all the brit groups of the 60's.
and many usa n cdn n other country classic rok groups.
too many to list.

only thing i dont like is chamber music.
gershwin fan.
some have accused me of being too melodic orientated.
but i am what i am , no apologies.
i like melodies in songs n hooks.
always searching for hooks n sound pictures n melodies.
never short of song ideas//lyrics.
the problem is finding the time to produce em properly n
get the sound pictures i hear in my head.

once owned a pretty decent 2 inch studio.
but sold it off due to other family commitments.
thus now dont have a fancy gear list.
pensions suck..lol.
so i like to dabble with diy mic pre's etc.

all told written several hundred original songs over the decades.
in last 2 yrs done lots of songs with another very nice reaper user.
album n ep n other songs. which i hope will continue in the new year
after xmas break.
in summary mainly a songwriter/arranger/lyrics/vocals.
saddens me i didnt have todays technology decades ago when i was struggling with
a couple of cassette deks..lol.
i'm a typical brit (from london uk born). i hope. straight shooter no bs type.

if i dont have other commitments at the time,
if someone needs em , will do vocs/arrange/lyrics on songs.
(pm me.)
then will send a test run to the requestor for feedback or ditching..lol.

would like to be in contact with people who can do live drums. (my bane.)
plus orchestral instruments.
happy new year.

Can offer:

- Electronica / Techno production tweeking. (I've got tracks up here somewhere)
- Acoustic Guitar (Have a maton and stereo mic)
- Electric Guitar; cheezy soloing included!
- Bass lines
- Commodore 64 programming of SID (plus my own compiler code and 1541ultimate cartridge to play content on real hardware from SD card)

Plus a libary of some quite odd sounding noises and effects. Have some crazy analogue synth gear too (like BC16) that offer anything from chunky analogue to I'm-on-a-space-ship-being-probed sounds.

On that note, I gotta go. I think I can see some odd lights in the sky again...

(was this thread always here?)

Alright. My name is Oren, I play mostly rock/popish keyboards and piano, but also some folksy acoustic guitar.
I love mixing other people's material, or to produce songs from scratch. People tell me I'm especially good in mixing drum tracks, and in creating 80's style productions.
Would love to collaborate with anyone.

Default Guitars/Composing

Hi, I'm Kaspar.

Can to a decent degree:
1) Play guitar - 7 or 6 string
2) Compose
3) Program, edit my not so decent playing of keyboards/MIDI-drums

Stylistically my main focus is toward progressive/experimental rock/metal, although there are some exceptions flirting with some electronic stuff.

I think my webpage gives fairly accurate overview of what I may or may not be capable of:

http://www.kaspartorn.eu/music.html

Some of the gear at my disposal: guitars, guitar to MIDI, pad and keyboard controllers, Nord Modular and some drum etc software.

So, if you need a guitar track, I might be able to help you out.

I can offer weird tribal beats. I play drum set occaisonally, but mostly make beats with midi and plugins. However I am looking to record more "real" percussion and have a growing interest in Indian and Arabic rhythms and instruments. As a musical style I like trippy "braindance" stuff, but I am not trying to be Aphex Twin. But it might be interesting to be him.

Default Some stuff about me...

Hi, I don't think of myself as a musician, but for some reason I can't keep away from instruments, both real or virtual. I've always loved tinkering with sound. I played kit drums a bit once, so I'm reasonable at putting together MIDI drum parts, I think. Play a bit of guitar and very basic keys. I like almost everything, but NOT Metal, heavy rock etc, anything with painfully loud guitars featuring (except maybe Jouhn McCloughlin). You can see a list of my 'influences' on My Space (link below).

I'm interested in finding contributors for some of my things, especially '60s and '70s style guitar soloing (twangy to psychadelic), any kind of jazzyish keyboard soloing/fills, ditto winds, fiddle, flute etc.

As I said, see my link below. PS I don't work fast! and I'm not up to speed with file sharing etc (just started using stashbox though) so you might need patience as a qualification!).

Greetings -

I'm basically a songwriter/vocalist. My main influence is Radiohead. I play some guitar too, but at this point I'm a relative Reaper noob, and about the only thing I feel like I could do adequately or without screwing your project up would be to lay vocals on it. I feel like I could do a pretty bang-up job at that though. The more electronica-oriented and patient you are, the better.

Hey guys

My name is Miguel and I'm a bass player. I've been studying jazz for a couple of years and I'd be most interested in participating in some projects with anyone that plays jazz.

Besides that I also love the blues, progressive rock, funk and soul. So I guess we could play pretty much everything. Someone once said that my bass lines "aren't very normal"! Ahah, maybe that's a good or a bad thing.

Let me know if you want to have a Collaboration!

Hey - I'm looking for collab projects.
I'm into ambient, environmental, found sound, collage, drone, and weird experimental audio explorations.

I'm looking for open ended, organic, abstract, track at a time, or other structural format, temporal con/destructions.
See sig for some examples, it's not a flashy site at all... just a folder with some things.

I play ... well, nothing that well.
I started as a drummer a long time ago. I then picked up guitar, bass, and tweaking synths.
I have created a few synths with synthedit and had lots of fun.

Reaper is awesome for collab. Consolidate, zip a folder and send.
Yahoo IM works good for files larger than 10 meg.

Ok - well, pm me if something like this interests you.
Send me a seed track or I'll send you one and let's go from there.

I am for almost any type of genre of music, but tend to stray towards progressive rock and metal onwards, all types of metal, except black metal i guess, never been a huge fan of it.

Yeah, would be able to put down drum tracks for anything and would say I could do guitar riffing for most type of music too, not as skilled in soloing areas but would be up to giving it a go. If need could lass down some bass tracks to.

Have in my opinion a half decent death metal growl too. LOL, but yet to record it.

Enjoy writing lyrics too, intelligent and meaningful lyrics.

Also have some OK mixing and mastering skills under my belt, but have years of learning in that field ahead of me.

I play several different instruments, mainly stringed ones, but I'm guessing there's not a huge demand for guitarists/bass players/mandolin players/etc. However, I also play tin whistle (both high and low) so if you happen to need a folky vibe for some song, let me know.
