Default How2 Change active midi item in editor when midi items overlap (or item always mix)

Midi Editor Preferences

I use 1 MIDI Editor per project

I know I can double click on the arrange view but how can I quickly change active midi item IN THE MIDI EDITOR when they overlap.

Equivalent to this for non-overlapping media items is to just double click within the bounds of another media item in the MIDI Editor

Also Media Items from another track are not faintly visible in the editor. Is there a preference for that?
