Default Varispeed project - import audio & not varispeed item?

Is there a way to do this?
I would like to import an audio file into a project that is running slower via playback rate, and have the item not playing slower / ignoring the playback rate

Alt-Enter
Set default stretch to time rather than beats.
Import item

Finally got around to attempting this, and not having any luck.
Where do I find the default stretch settings?

I presumed this would be achieved in Item properties, or Item settings,
because I don't want the project changed, just the imported items ignoring the playback rate and still having their original pitch and speed.

Confused ...

Another question has come up.
I have my project running at minus 9 semitones playrate (-0.5946)
I am trying to have some files playing at minus 6 semitones down (-0.7071)

Solved.
A great thing about Reaper is I can have my project slower on the majority of audio items, and pitch back up to normal speed other audio items.

I was at first concerned that because the session was pitched down, that I would be affecting the audio quality of the items that had to be pitched back to normal pitch - but this does not seem to be the case.

Everything works well
