Default Blue, red and black faders?

Hello.

I noticed that some themes have extra mixer/track layouts such as blue, red and black mixer faders. I would love to know how I can easily copy settings from such themes to the theme I am currently using which has more limited options, but I like the overall color schemes.

Is there an easy way to achieve this or do I need to know about theme tweaking in depth?

If this topic has been discussed somewhere else before, then I would appreciate it if you could point me to such threads!

Thank you in advance and I will be waiting for your reply!

Have a look at how it is done in those themes. You need to look at the rtconfig.txt file within the .ReaperThemeZip file (you can Unzip it).

My guess is that there will be multiple "Layouts" (with the same definitions but referencing different folders. Each of those folders will contain a differently-coloured fader handle.

So, yes, you would need to learn some stuff about theme tweaking.

Aye-simplified theme mixing would be incredibubble.
Some theming elements i really like, some not as much--so ability to mix and match might suit 'casual' customizers and treat some ocd's @ the same time. =)

It can be added to almost any theme, but it maybe a bit to tackle...

if you want the colored sliders for both tcp and mcp, then you first have to unpack the theme, and in the png's folder make some new folders, like tcp_red, mcp_red, ...etc. for all the colored sliders you want to have..

then you have to use a graphics program to create the colored sliders... normally if you use photoshop, you can take a copy of the existing slider and color it one of several ways... exactly how is more than I can tell you here...

then do what DS says as to finding an rtconfig.txt that includes more layouts for colored sliders and do what is needed to your existing theme's rtconfig.txt to add the new layouts...

I've done this many times and usually plan for a good day's work to get it right

Default Thank you!

Thank you so much for your replies!
So, putting all the information you have provided together, it is not really an easy task.

I will have to do some studying on my part to get exactly what I want
I will see how much I can do about it using what you wrote!

Thank you once again for your input!

What is the theme you are wanting to modify? Have you made any changes to it through the tweaker or other means?

Hello cincikat69!

I want to modify a theme called "Defaultwithmorelayout_4".
I have gotten used to the theme and like the overall feel of it, but I want to add the color faders for better visual recognition of tracks.

Ok, I found it in the Stash... I'll see about doing the mods/options you are wanting in the next couple of days. It shouldn't take long at all to do, and I will then send you a PM with the modified theme.

I have completed the requested modifications, and also made a few changes to correct some code issues and redundant image files. I tried sending it to you here through the forum, but it won't let me attach it for some reason (probably size). So, if you could send me an email (triton_pro.themes@yahoo.com) I will send it to you that way.

Thank you

Hello cincikat69!

Thank you for taking your time to do this for me.
I sent email to your account twice, but for some reason, it did not get delivered properly and came back with the following message.

"Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address."

Perhaps there is a typing error in the mail address info you put?
Please check it so I can reach you by email as well.

Thank you once again for your great help!

I did receive your email just fine, so I'm not sure what's going on there...but the file is sent to the email address you provided.

Hello! Yes, I just confirmed the mail and was able to open the theme with no problem as well!!

I don't know why the delivery error message got returned and it could be to do with settings on my side, so I will see.

Anyway, thanks to you, now I can play around with colored faders as well!
Hooray!

Thank you and please have a lovely day.
You completely deserve it☆
