Default One of my Mouse Modifier settings keeps reverting

MIDI piano roll > left click > Default action

I keep changing this to "Deselect all notes" [only]
but it keeps switching itself back to "Deselect all notes and move edit cursor"

It was sort of cute and funny at first, now it's just getting annoying! It happened like 5 times yesterday, seemingly random.

I checked Actions to make sure I didn't accidentally assign a key command.

I rolled Reaper back a version. Still happening.

Anything else I can try? Thanks for reading.

I thought this was happening to me too once, but I realized that I had used some actions to change the default in some of my custom actions. But I guess you already thought of that.

Try this: change the setting and then restart Reaper before doing anything else. Did it revert or stay the same?

It stayed the same...as in, the change stuck. As one would expect. As if to prove I'm crazy for thinking there was something wrong in the first place!

It's a ghost in the machine! It'll just happen when I'm least expecting it.

I'll check my custom actions and cycle actions too, thanks for the suggestion.
