Default M-Audio Project Mix I/O with Reaper

Hey guys (and gals)...

I've been away from recording for a while and have the itch to get back at it.

I was running Sonar 8 PE with an M-Audio Project Mix I/O, went to mix a track recently and purchased Waves H-Series only to find it didn't work with Sonar 8.

They suggested I upgrade to Sonar Platinum.

I remembered that I had Reaper, tested the plug in and it works great.

Now I'd like to get the Project Mix I/O working with Reaper. I'm running Windows 7 SP1 64 bit.

I see old threads where a guy had created .dll's to make this work but not for 64 bit.

Anyone running a PMix on Win 7 64 bit that can help me get up and running?

Thanks
Mike

Why do you think you need a special dll....Seems like people have this working ok with the M-Audio drivers?

Yes. There's one m-audio driver that is working good with win 7,8,10 x64..

I'm still running my system with an old Delta 1010lt and that driver...

But it took some time to find it on the m-audio sites as their driver sites are very bad organized, aren't they?

I'll be back later and tell you the version.... I think it's 6.0.9

I've found the Driver for the Delta 1010LT under Win / (x64) SP1...it's version 6.0.8.

So...as it seems your friends are the Win7 Drivers :-)

Good luck finding em

I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, and have been using the Projectmix for years, without issues. No need for special dlls, just download the latest driver from M Audio's website (which is several years old, 6.0.4, from 2012).

When booting up the PMmix, choose "Cubase" (that's the closest). In preferences:

- choose M Audio Fire Wire as Asio device
- in Control / OSC / web, choose the Mackie Control (v 4.4), and Projectmix Control Surface Midi for midi input and output

I believe that someone (Klinke?) wrote a customized script for the Mackie but the standard one that comes with Reaper works fine for me.
