Default I got a question about recording tracks ........

It might be possible that I have completely missed something here when it comes to recording.

As far as I can recall, I have not seen a YT video that talks about this. If there is, please post the link here as a reply.....

Here I go:

When I arm a track for recording, two FX boxes show up. So, what kinds of VSTs should go there and when as well as when should the go on the one that is visible all the time?

When should I use which one of these two things?

Default

Effects that are on the Input FX will be recorded with the incoming signal. Use it when you want to "print" an effect to "tape" as recording.

Effects on the track FX will not be recorded with the incoming signal. This is where you will want your effects in most situations.
