Frustrating audio issue
Hello. I just started using Reaper in hopes of Podcast creation. My issue is as follows:
I am using a USB microphone with the ASIO4ALL audio config. When I record by the 3rd or 4th iteration (just testing audio levels etc), everything suddenly sounds jittery and and poppy in the monitor. When I record an additional test and playback without the monitor active, the same jittery noise is present in that recording. I then tried deleting all of the tracks, so that I am staring at an empty screen, but subsequent recordings still produce the same noise. The only solution at that point seems to be to restart Reaper.
My PC isn't a powerhouse, but it has a Dualcore CPU with 4 GB's of RAM. Any idea what could be the issue? Thanks.
