Default creating and saving an fx (using the sampler)

Hi, I've created a glitch drum set-up using the sampler. Now, I'm sure there must be a way of saving it and using it on another project without starting all over again, but how? So, could someone point me to a tutorial or thread that explains how to save a drum-set that you've created using the sampler in Reaper. I'm sure it's possible, but I can't find the right information (or Kenny Gioia tutorial).

Or if its easy to explain, just leave some info here.

Big thanks in advance.

You should be able to save the track as a track template -
Right click track, save as track template

Then you can import by insert, track from template

Just be careful not to move or rename your samples, since the sampler will not find them if you do.. You can also save presets for the sampler. To help future-proof your project, you'll want to move/copy the used samples to the project folder and point the sampler to that location instead.

Ok, so - I think Kenny talks about that - you need to make a new folder with the samples in them. But, will the sampler setting also save the set-up, meaning the keys I've assigned them too also?

As for saving it as a template, I see that possibility, but it means you have to start from there. And, in my case, I've already started my project and suddenly realise the drum set-up (from another project) would be perfect, hence the idea of 'importing' it from elsewhere - or saving it, etc.

When I create drumkits like that I do it with several examples of RS5000 ON THE SAME TRACK. Then I can save that track as a track template. In the new project I just create a new track from that template.

Track template NOT project template is the key.
