Default Save files in proj directory when copying media items from another project

Hi,

is it possible to save the media files in my project directory, when i copy media items from another project.

Im not talking about importing media files for which i already choose "Copy imported media to project media directory". I mean when i imported the (edited) items from another project.

I found a thread about this from a few years ago, but it came to no satisfying solution (https://forums.cockos.com/showthread.php?p=1545748).

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this answers your question, but... you can do "Save As..." to the same directory, and if you do that with "Copy media..." turned on then of course all media that has been imported into the project gets copied into the project dir.

Thanks for answering.
Yes, I know about this setting/behaviour, but I hoped there is a way, to automatically import the media items, without going through the save as window.
Or... to always copy the items (if new items were imported since the last save), when i do a regular save. So the setting to copy the items is set for every "normal" save via ctrl+s and I dont have to do the save as.

There is preference to copy imported Media to the project directory on import - somewhere in preferences. NIFOR ATM, use the search function in preferences to find it.

Maybe that's what you are basically looking for?

Hi,

I only found the "Copy imported media to project media directory", but this only works for importing media files from the explorer to the reaper project.
But I want to have this behaviour asewll, when I select items in reaper project A, copy them, switch to project B and paste them there.

Haven't found setting for that.
