Default Working Between Windows and Mac

I am contemplating getting a MacBook. I've been strictly PC for my personal use all my life. My wife uses Macs though so I am familiar with the OS already. My concern is with my plugin library. Generally, if you have a license for a given plugin, does that cover you for OSX and windows installations? Specifically, i use a lot of Waves plugs..If I install my purchased products I use on my PC, on a MAC and transfer the licenses, will they work?

I have the same sort of issues as you.

In my case I have a PC in the studio, a Windows laptop for "on the road" and a Mac Mini.
Unfortunately 99% of vendor only allow you to install on 2 machines. However, that said anything that relies on either iLok or some other form of protection NOT tied to one machine will generally let you install the plugs on as many machines as you like and just move either the dongle or the authorisation codes.

I use some Waves plugins across Mac and PC. You can do it without paying for them twice - you can install on both machines simultaneously, but you have to transfer the Licence across each time you switch platforms with the Waves Licence Centre. It's a bit of a pain but not too bad if you rely on them.
