Default white noise playing for no reason in right channel

Hi all, i've got this frequent bug I can't solve. Sometimes after a few minutes of working with reaper, a white noise plays in one of my ear (working with hadphones). Sometimes the right, sometimes the left, sometimes both. It appears when an item is playing, no noise if I hit play and no item should be playing.

And I think it appears only when I work without an interface. (not sure about that, I maybe already had the same probleme with my scarlett 2i2, I think I never had it with my steinberg ur824)

Any idea ? I tried to change the audio system to waveout and come back to asio in the audio settings, but it doesn't seem to work.

edit : sometimes changing the buffer size works, no idea why

If you work with a PC, did you try to use Asio4All?
It's an universal Asio driver, you can load it http://www.asio4all.org/

You might also want to check and see if you have a plugin on the track that is working in demo mode.

Two things to check, just in case:

- Do you perhaps have something inserted into the View > Montoring FX chain?
- Are the headphones working correctly when connected to a different device (to rule out a faulty cable/connection)?

Otherwise you might go through some Audio Tuning Tips, in general:
