Default Reaper64 won't drag into Applications folder on install

I'm installing the new version of Reaper, and after opening the .dmg, I get the popup window showing Reaper64 and the ReaMote64 icons, the black arrow, and then the Applications folder.

In all other installs, I've noticed that I just drag the icon into the applications folder.

That's not working here. I'm not that familiar with OS tech, but is it ok to just find the app on my hard drive and drag it into the applications folder?

I'm unable to find the file anywhere on my computer (I see the older Reaper64 file install in Applications. )

thx

Strange that this doesn't seem to work.

In general you can drag & drop the Reaper64 app where you want: either onto the Applications Folder icon in the install window. Or directly into Finder > Applications (or another folder).

What's your current macOS version?

Any chance your Applications folder was moved into another? The folder in the image file is an alias that's pointing to the Applications folder at the root level of the drive. So maybe it can't find it? Dragging Reaper directly into the App folder should work and is essentially the same thing without using the alias. To the desktop and into the folder should be be no problem.
