Default Who Made Simple Verb?

I have this plugin I end up using pretty often for close reverbs and creating some simple space. SimpleVerb.dll. No UI, just a few params, but does the trick more often than not. From time to time I get curious as to where it even came from or if maybe there's been an update...

I can't get to the bottom of it. Anyone know?

For What It's Worth ... found the old website on the Wayback Machine at archive.org ... which has a general listing of the plugs contained within:

https://web.archive.org/web/20160328...ser/index.html

However, the download doesn't work from there, it downloads a 'corrupt' or 'incomplete' file ... so I looked up further and found the complete zip file at this site:

http://dioxaz.free.fr/download/index...ir=midi_vst%2F

I downloaded and installed the files, and yes "Simple Verb" is kinda cool ... not really a 'reverb' per-se, but more of an ambient room simulator ... the text file contained within might tell ya a bit more about its origins and dateline ...

Enjoy,
Tommy V

i still have the source code (and linux 32bit binaries) for all his plugins - i compiled/ported them to linux for him, back in those days.. but:

1. the code would need to be updated to compile properly (especially for 64-bit), as some of the code is a bit, hmmm, 'hackish'..

and 2. i would need to get his explicit permission to do anything with it.. it's his plugins, and his choice if he want them (or the source code) spread around anymore..

Can you? I could make a groovy UI for it if you do.

hmm.. maybe.. ?? there's some pretty nice stuff in there, and it would be great to have "modernized" versions, like 64-bit..

adding a gui would be a little bit more involved, though.. but i have been toying with the idea of extracting the audio/processing stuff into separate classes, and wrap these up in some other framework (like my own)..

my "todo" list is really getting out of hand.. but maybe i will get a burst of motivation one day, and prioritize it.. if michael gives his permission, of course.. :-)

or you may wanna try this one:

https://www.kvraudio.com/product/ori...-denis-tihanov

It's really, really good, intuitive and very light on CPU...

and on top it's free.

Let me thank all the people who believe in the power of working together and ex-share stuff....

+1
for me the best free reverb out there these days.
BTW: I like plug without GUI. Not every simple tool needs a GUI. One reason I like the JSFX much.

Yes I know Oril River is great. But it's not simple and thus not a comparable reverb to Simple Verb.
