PSA: hanging notes with monosynths when seeking playback

Recently noticed this annoying issue, where the synth goes into decay/portamento and never recovers if you do a seek while a note is playing.

It didn't happen with a fresh portable install though, and turns out that it's apparently due to the preference "Don't flush synthesizer plug-ins on stop/reset" being enabled. (Preferences -> Plug-ins -> VST -> VST compatibility)

Just dropping this here in case anyone else runs into this issue and miraculously manages to find this thread later.
