Default How to use reaplugs, such as reatune, reapitch, reavoice and reavocode? Any text tuto

Hi,
I'm attempting to use these plugins to manipulate my voice.
I need a way to modify timbre of my voice, but this voice must sound natural, without artifacts. I don't know if exists something, but I'm trying.
So, I need some guide on how to use these plugins, or, if you know other plugins, any suggestions.
Im blind, and unfortunately I'm unable to understand the videos I found on the internet.
Any help is apreciated.

Download the "ReaEffects Guide" here.
This PDF provides descriptions about the VSTs you named -
you'll be happy with it!

Can you be more specific when you say "modify timbre" but "must sound natural"? The first 3 plugins you mention are primarily for pitch change, which tends to introduce artifacts the more severe you are with it, and a vocoder is not really going to sound "natural".
There is plenty of fun to be had with all sorts of plugins though, if you are just looking to do something interesting. You don't need to assume that you need special "vocal" plugins for voice - distortions, speaker simulators, flangers, bit crushers etc. can all produce interesting results. Unless you know specifically what you are looking for, i would suggest trying any plugins you can get and experimenting.

There's a number of situations in which you might want to modify the timbre of a voice - an obvious one might be when faking up backing vocals (or a choir).

Or making a disguised phone call :-)

You might want to try reaPitch, and fiddle with the formants.
Extreme settings will produce obvious artifacts, but you might get away with a couple of semitones (up or down) depending on context.

Not all the shifting algorithms allow formant adjustment.

Thanks, I tried reapitch and I am able to modify formant shift. Now I'll experiment a little bit. Thanks!

Check out Kenny Gioia's videos (link on the home page). Look at FX and Plugins. Great info there on how to use most of what you've listed.

It's a blind user asking for a text tutorial though.

Hi germanocarella

The Wiki page might be of some help, though it is very incomplete and outdated there is a page for each of the effects you asked about.
