Default ReaEQ graph responding wrong after 5.52

This is kinda weird. Say I have ReaEQ on two tracks. Track 1 has a sound on beat 1. Track 2 has a sound on beat 4. I'm watching the graph on track 2 to adjust things. Visually, I get a spike on beat 1 instead of beat 4. But when I adjust the eq, it changes the sound on track 2.

I have ReaEQ on several tracks, and they shape the sounds correctly, but if I look at the graph on any track, it's anybody's guess what track the EQ is showing. I've checked routing, and there's nothing odd I can see.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you have anticipative FX enabled it can cause things to show up a few hundred milliseconds early, that’s probably why. You can disable anticipative fx for that track (or record arm it temporarily) and it should appear in time.

What about compensating this visual lag (via VST extension)?

It's not simple to do at all. The anticipative rendering is essentially offline rendering as fast as possible, so there is no correlation to real time, which would be needed for the visuals. (edit : OK, looks like it doesn't work exactly like that.) The plugins would need to do quite a lot of data storing and juggling to be able to show the visuals delayed and synchronized with the audible audio. Likely not something many plugin manufacturers would ever bother with.
