Default Solved - High end monitor vs middle of the road monitor.

I don't get why some one buys high end monitor for their DAW, how is that going to improve your music.

I'm going to assume you're talking about displays and not studio monitors.

I bought an ultrawide display partly because I wanted to be able to see more tracks in the mixer at a time, and to have the space for multiple windows without resorting to a dual monitor setup. What display do you think would make your workflow faster, a 21:9 1440p display, or a 5:4 1024p display?

I bought my cool display because it's cool and I like it. I like it a lot.

Not everyone sitting in front of a DAW is working on music (especially those of us who are paid to sit in front of DAWs).

People should consider flicker-free and low blue light monitors. They really make a difference health-wise, as I've read and more so experienced.

It's like buying a bad pen and bad paper to write down your music in the times people didn't have computers. They don't make you write better music, but they surely do improve the experience, like new strings on a guitar.

If we are talking using reaper and recording/mixing audio - there is no real practical need for a high-end video monitor. There just isn't because any decent monitor can render the interface with far more than enough clarity. I have nice monitors in general but Reaper has nothing to do with it.

Press WIN+A, a right pane opens, click on "night light" or "expand" if you don't see it.
