Analyze a 'Time Selection'

Been searching through the forum and SWS extension ...

Is there a way to make a time-line selection, and then analyze that selection for Peak, RMS, LUF, levels ?

Workaround:
Well, you could render the time selection to a new file, with option to import it automatically into a new track in the same project (song) and with proper input FX to that new track to make the analysis.
