Default bounce outboard MIDI in-place?

Hi,

is there an option to be able to bounce a MIDI outboard track so that your outboard instrument records as an audio clip in a new lane in the same track that the MIDI clip is in?

If not, then it would be logical to allow this rather than needing to create two tracks to work with outboard MIDI synths. even if some logic needed to be made. the ability would be needed to be able to simultanously play MIDI in an armed and monitored track, as well as record.

seems like this feature should exist.

I use 2 tracks - 1 for the MIDI signals and when I'm satisfied with that I record it audio into another track - the just use MUTE on the MIDI track.

I think it works great - what's wrong with that method ?

right click the input channel box and select record output -> stereo or mono //for midi vsts

or right click midi item and select "apply track fx to item as new take" // for midi items
