Default no-action action? huuh?

I know there must be some kind of logic behind it, but I don't grab it.

I just stumbled over the 'no-op' action in the actions window. Tried it, and it works a charme... doing absolutely nothing at all.

Now is this sort of Reaper-Zen or can it be used for some nifty custom action combo?

Thanks for clearing things up, Schwa.

I assigned it to my ANY - key, but still would like to know what exactly Reaper is not doing when I press it?

When do you introduce the 'any-op' action, which will be engaged by not pressing the assigned key?

It goes back to the old way of setting up macros, where it was necessary to blank out unused slots. Seems so long ago.... I suspect it's left in for backwards compatibility.

I see. Thanks. Kinda desillusioning, though. Liked Schwas answer better, so I'll stick with the zen theory.
