Action/Mouse Modifier Looping

Hey guys,

I have set my preferences so that when I grab and drag a midi item, it will NOT loop but only extend. However, I was wondering how or if I could set up a shortcut key or mouse modifier to switch over sometimes. Looping while dragging is a nice feature that I would like to use but it's not necessary for me to have it as the default setting. I had a play but couldn't figure it out.

Any ideas?

The Actions List is your friend. Search "loop item source."

Thanks, but unfortunately I had tried that already. Maybe I'm wrong but it seemed that didn't activate it after I had deselected the option in the preferences.

Unsure which option in preferences you speak of, but these actions toggle the option in item properties for the selected item(s). It can be on by default for new items but can always be toggled from item properties or the actions.

Okay! Great, thanks, that was the answer. I had switched off looping in the main preferences. Didn't think about checking the item preferences.
