Default Half of the screen's black

Seams like in some circumstances pressing CTRL+F2 in midi editor creates black screen in the sequencer.

Only way to get rid of it is to restart pc.

a bit more of data may be needed:
which version of reaper?
which graphics card and driver version?
which OS?
which Reaper setting of UI updates
which action do you have assigned to CTRL+F2?

Pull your hoodie back?

Sorry - couldn't resist.

Even more sorry that I have no useful input to add.
FWIW on my reaper ctrl F2 put up the item properties window for whichever track item I have highlighted at the time. Same thing if the cursor is on the TCP.
Does nothing in the mixer view but display the track item details like in the TCP.
