Is there a way to integrate changes across projects?
Say I have a project, I save such project under two different files, I experiment on one of the two versions. I want to integrate some of those changes (but not all of them) in the first one. Is there a relatively easy way to do this, other than copying tracks across projects?

I guess that's a no. So do I have to resort to copying tracks across projects?

no not that I know of.... and think about it... how would reaper know and keep track of all possible changes? ...and then know what 'you' wanted to alter from one project to some other project?

Yes, you can do this with subprojects:
Put all those parts which should be identical in both projects
into a shared subproject.

ummm yeah to just get the sound, a shared project would sort of work... but I don't think that was what the OP wanted

Just like a VCS works. You could pick and choose what to keep, it shows you the differences, whether some tracks are missing outright, or if the tracks differ only in automation data, or maybe only in name, etc. It can be technically done.

Thanks, I missed this "new" feature. You need to somewhat plan ahead to use it effectively, but it's good to know. Maybe it can turn useful in the future.
