Well, it is time for creating a "witti" folder at Effects!

Thanks for these, I particularly like the simple comp, how does the 'envelope release' differ/interact with the release time?

comp_bpm is destined to rank among the JS classics, I'm certain

I just tested it on a few mixes and individual tracks here and there and it sounded very good.

Unlike waves h-comp, this one can yield some really crazy stuff, like setting attack to 16ths and setting the release to half notes .... settings with straight attack and triplet release can sound nuts on certain material.

Being able to switch to "manual mode" individually for both attack and release, with drop downs or whatever, would make this beyond awesome , although i have no idea if that is feasible.

Your Plugins are Genius Witti! With you and Anomaly making all these new FX, all my 3rd Party plugins are being made redundant by the day. Thanks for all your work! And keep then coming, if you can

comp_multi is sounding awesome to me.

comp_multi, simple_comp_3, comp_rms, delay_filter and channel_strip are killing me these plugs are seriously good.

comp_multi would be perfect if it had 3 crossovers (4-bands) ... it would be perfection on perfection if it also had an "auto-makeup gain" option for each band (ala reaxcomp).

delay_filter would kill if it had tempo sync, ala remaincalm's floaty_delay or stillwell's delay_tempo

If REAPER v4.55 or v4.56 doesn't have a witti folder in /Effects as default, there is something wrong with the world

Now I am off to find these & give them a shot...

At risk of sounding ignorant, what am I able to do with the zillions of data text files in the big Witti package of js fx? Are those like preset files for one (or more) of the plugins? Great stuff, by the way!!

Really cool Witti. I got a chance to run through the comps and channel. I really like the channel alot. Is there a simple way to add a trim or gain before the input meter for gain staging. And although I completely understand you not wanting a Witti JS folder. You have one on my machine. Again cool stuff.

Fair enough, Witti.I am some what familiar with how you put the channel together. Based on what I read in another thread you had as you were building it.I think Ill take on trying to add that trim. Itll be my first voyage into js with...... no prior code experience. Il let ya know how it goes.

Oh... as far the meters.....The one on the left is signal coming in and the one on the right is signal going out, correct. I would like to put the trim before the input meter to be able to see trim adjustments before it enters the comp. Please correct me if I misunderstand the existing meter layout.

https://stash.reaper.fm/v/18574/Mutant%20JS.zip

Actually, i"m glad you posted that witti, because ive been wanting someone who knows what they are doing to cast a lazy eye over my sloppy frankensteined creations

These "mutants" are very stable and do sound good, but i really have no idea what is going on.

The "tape_sat" plugin sounds particularly nice on certain material.
Its a miracle it even works at all.

Optimize them all and upload em!

Your comp_tube is a MUCH better implementation.

Ive updated the MutantJS zip ... all the plugs now contain info on the original plugs/authors.

So once downloaded how would I go about installing these Plugins? It's for Mac 10.6.8.

Very cool indeed.

Would it be possible to have a gainreduction meter in analyzer form? I mean either a stand alone gr meter over time OR on top of the original waveform in another color. Would be so cool to see what my compressors are doing and seeing the unprocessed input below/behind that...

Do you think that might be possible?

Regards
Sebastian

But what i tried to do was something different. I wanted to have a meter in the mcp/tcp and not in the plugin.

Maybe some people already recognized it, i updated quite a lot of plugins in the package and i added some new plugins. So if you like them, please download them again. In one of the latest reaper updates some changes were made to the js plugins gui part. Currently all plugin gui sizes are wrong. Will fix that next weekend, i think.
Aah, I got it now. It was about the TCP/MSP view. Sry. My bad.

But those GR history thingies sound interesting.

witti, I need a basic soft knee limiter that works internally to a plug I'm creating. Can you suggest which of your plugs would be the best for me to look at for extracting that single function?

Very cool witti

Here's an outline for all-purpose gain-meter implementation.

Could be done in JS I guess

It uses gmem for the volume sliders. This allows to have all the volume controls in one plugin only (the receiver with the meter).

So set your track to at least 4 channels and insert the 'sender' first, then a plugin of your choice, maybe a compressor, and then the 'receiver'.

In/out channels, Link IDs of both plugins should match.
If you use more instances just increase channels and IDs.
Nice!

Now it only works as gain-staging and custom gain, right?
No way to get GR-meter yet.

Ideally such a Gain module should not be visible in tcp/mcp, only in fx-window and sticky above/below floating plugin.
But, I guess that's hard to achieve now.
Makup-gain in plugin could be linked to receive makup, all saved as fx-chain and fully functional.

Anyway, for gain-staging some variety of sound-plugins, your fxs are excellent
Thanks!

You know what ?
If that Bpm comp had a side chain input, a saturation slider and maybe a feedback option it would probably become my go to comp.
Great Great work

EDIT. So Yeah a blend between comp, comp-sat and comp BPM would be the f'n BOMB

Thanks!
