Default Reaper GUI lags periodically

I have an erratic Problem. Sometimes the Reaper GUI lags periodically as this gif shows:

I use the latest Windows10-Version and an RME-Fireface. The sound is not affected. This occurs with different Reaper Versions. Some plugins-UI get the same lags (e. g. Oeksound Soothe) some are unaffected (Fabfilter, Waves).

The DPC-Latency-Checker shows no noticeable Latencies on my system.

Any hints how to solve this?

Is there a ReaScript running in the background?

Does it happen in a new project without plugins? Try to remove all plugins from project one by one until it doesn't happen anymore. Then you will know which plugins is causing it, if it is a plugin.

Thanks for your answers!

I found the reason. The lags werde caused by AIR XPand!2. I use a HiDPI-Screen and a Windows-Scaling of 150%.

The problem can be solved by running the plugin as a seperate process. But that sucks because reaper looses focus each time the plugin window is open...
