Need help, recording not working for me

i arm a track for recording, then try to record but it says 'Can't write to recording files, do they exist?'

does anyone know how to fix this problem, because at the moment i cant do anything with it

Before you start recording, save the project to where you want it and the files to be. See if that helps.

In other words

Create new project
Before anything else, use "save as"
Then try recording.

do you have the project setting for record path set? If so, does that path exist?
