Item position (start) in samples

Hi. How do you make REAPER show you an item position not in Beats or MS but in samples?
The Item Properties window doesn't seem to have that option...

Item properties can only show the item position in Time, Beats or HMSF (hours minutes seconds frame). You can switch transport display to samples, but you'd naturally have to seek the item start first to get the correct position. Right-click over the transport to access the menu.

Actually, I use action
Item navigation: Move cursor right to nearest item edge .
It kinda does the seeking )

The thing is... You can neither spot an item nor place a cursor — in samples, right?
REAPER only lets you watch, how many samples, but not manipulate items with that precision?

Not too many, but there are some actions with 1 sample precision. Open the Actions window and type "sample" (without quotes) to the filter to see them.

SWS: Nudge items position 1 sample left/right

is (are) there.
So, hopefully, scripts can be written to
Nudge items position left/right by n samples.

While it's not the same as moving items to the exact spot,
it's definitely not as tedious as making one step (nudging items one sample) at a time.

Or, maybe, the scripts will even let users move items to exact positions (in samples).

I'm pretty sure a script could be made just for this. But there is already a dialog to do that in Reaper. Go to Item menu and select Nudge/Set items (or shortcut N).
