Default Is this posible

Hey there.
I am working my way into Reaper and I like it a lot .
One thing that I want to know is if it’s possible to creat a key-command for changing theme layout on the mixer? I would like to use one key to toggle between a wide layout and a narrow layout for all tracks on the mixer.

Is there also a way to make a key command to hide all selected tracks in the TCP?

Thanks for a great daw that don’t bloat the pc with stuff I don’t use

Although it's not a single key-command solution, one option is to open View > Screensets/Layouts. Then going to the Layouts Tab and selecting a Mixer Panel Layout there.

This might also be useful:

You can have a look at using Actions like:

- Track: Toggle show/hide in TCP
- Track: Toggle tracks visible (hide) in TCP
- SWS: Hide selected track(s) from TCP --> requires SWS Extensions

Or hiding Tracks from the TCP and/or MCP via View > Track Manager

assume you have sws extensions...

then assume the theme you are using has the two MCP widths you want as layouts for the Mixer...

IF that is true

then you can go into the layouts window and find 20 actions...that you can define

OK let's pretend you take #19 and #20
set 19 to 'Selected' mixer tracks in the first field and in the second field choose the wide mcp layout you want...

OK... now for #20 do the same but choose the narrow mcp layout you want...

OK now open the actions list and type mixer into the filter... you should see that list of 20 layout actions there...

remember 19 makes all the mixer tracks wide and 20 makes them narrow..

OK so now make a two custom actions...
First action... name it All Mixer Tracks Wide

to be safe, I'd start with unselect all tracks
then select all tracks
then layout action 19
then unselect all tracks

and then... one more new action

Name it
All Mixer Tracks Narrow

make it the same as the one above but put the 20 layout action instead of the 19

So now you have two custom actions that will make all Mixer tracks wide or narrow...

you can give wide a key command... let's pretent Shift-W
and narrow could be just W [no other key]
of course the keys are your choice...

So not exactly a toggle but pretty close
