Still sluggish when horizontally scrolling in the mixer in the large project I posted about here.

Enabling / disabling the new option to disable metal for meters makes no difference to the sluggishness (quit & restarted Reaper to make sure the option took effect).

Default Accelerated Scrolling

Now that we are adjusting the scrolling section of the Reaper, would it be possible to include accelerated scrolling. Here's an example of how this would be useful.

Example:

1) Create a session with 1000 tracks.
2) Attempt to marquee select or scroll from the bottom of the session to the top.

The user experiences a very long time before he or she is able to scroll or select an item at to the top of the session.

It would great if the first screen full of tracks scrolled at the standard speed but if the user continued to scroll or marquee select for more than one screen or something like 1 seconds then Reaper would automatically start scrolling much faster. 3 x times speed for example.

Here's an example of an application that scrolls the way I'm describing.

1)Open the following link in Microsoft Edge, Adbobe Reader or Preview on a Mac

http://helpcenter.celemony.com/pdf/m...o4_English.pdf

If you scroll very fast down the page it will start to accelerate how fast the pages scroll.
