Pitch bend semitones scale in automation

Hi , this is the only thing I envy about Cubase 11 : perfect bends
Is there a macro around doing it ? Will it be implemented in Reaper's new versions?

How bout you explain what you actually want. I googled, even watched the video about scale assistant. It said nothing about pitch bend, and most of what it did show can be done in Reaper one or more ways.

Anyway the range of the pitch bend is dependent on the instrument receiving the midi.

Ok, there's a new function in Cubase in which I can see semitones position and name in the automation lane .
I mean : let's say I set a guitar pitch bend of + or - 12 semitones , if I want to draw the line I can see in the lane the exact point of the semitones so that , always as an example , if I want to draw a - 5 semitones line I know easily where to draw the end point

Yes , but it's only for audio files, midi is the one that I'd like to have , do
you know some Reapack actions that can do that ?

Are you sure Cubases pitchbend control is actually adjusting the range of MIDI data?

Interesting, as this has always been one of the classic PITAses in the days of MIDI sequencers.

One of the few things I struggled with in Bars n Pipes Pro till they came up with a data range control tool.
I dont actually use pitchbend much any more in MIDI, but I will check all this out at the weekend, since it IS something that Reaper ought to be able to deal with elegantly.

Perfect Bends

Cubase 11 brings a huge improvement to the Key Editor’s functionality. You can now create ramps and curves in the CC and Pitch Bend lanes, just like you are used to with automation. Set your pitch bend steps to semitones and you will always be perfectly in tune. All of your CC edits can also be conveniently copied to another MIDI track, while MIDI notes can now be deleted with a simple, fast double-click.

That is pretty cool. Unfortunately I don’t know of a way to do that in Reaper atm. I’d imagine somebody could script a sort of alternate pitch bend utility that could do it, but of course that’s not quite as convenient as having it just built into the midi editor. I think it’s worth a feature request, but keep in mind that the devs tend to prefer relatively well spelled out proposals.

That's a cool feature. I might do more automation with that way of working. Legacy is a PITA. Make a feature request, for sure.
