Default Default right-click input choice

It would be nice if the right click input select menu had a defaulted selection other than the 1st input...

It would also be nice if it could also default to the last input you selected previously, so that if you're in the process of tracking something repeatedly from the same input you wouldn't have to scroll up to the same one evertime (unneccessarily).

Default insert track>last selected input

Meanwhile, selection might be quicker in the routing matrix.

I can think of various scenarios for input selection when adding tracks - for instance, next input would probably be the most wanted - but given the range of possibilities I suspect any preference offered would get a bit unwieldy. Maybe dragging in the matrix might offer a very rapid way of setting up connections?

AS I said before - if the Matrix were operable with Cursor+Space it would be lightning fast.
But still....these right mouse pop ups are horrible when:
You have loads of I/O's
The keep Closing after you click something.

Sam has an arror in the track dialog that automatically arms the next track with the next available input, plus an "all Tracks" button for assigning the same input to all (for making takes to new tracks.)

Thee are many possiblities here and there is nothing more tiring than target practice the Fxxxxxxx Mouse !

Cheers

That would definitely be good as an option.

But you'd have to mouse to get there in the first place.
