Default Midi editor opens too slow

Hi!
I have an issue here.
I recently got a new PC and installed Reaper normally. But I noticed that the midi editor takes around 8 seconds to open. It doesn't sound like TOO MUCH time, but in matter of software it's very frustrating.

This happens even in a new project. I have to say that I never had this problem in my old PC (i3 3rd Gen, 8gb RAM, Win7 x64).
My new PC is a Ryzen 7 1700x, 16gb RAM, Win10.

I've moving all options in Preferences, especially on Buffering. Nothing.

I'm really desperate 'cause I can't continue my projects in these conditions. I've checked several threads looking for a solution, but couldn't find any.
Is the processor the problem? Here's a video I recorded to show how slow is the midi editor to open.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks is advance.

That is definitely not normal. Do you have any extensions installed, or 3rd-party scripts running?

No. Clean install. It started since I open Reaper for the first time on my new PC.

Looking at the video, the audio device is closed before you open the MIDI item, and open after, so maybe some of that time is spent opening the audio hardware. Normally the audio device is open to begin with, so maybe you have your settings tweaked in a weird way? You could try factory resetting things (quit REAPER, go to C:\users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\REAPER, and rename reaper.ini to reaper-old.ini).

Default SOLVED! THANK YOU!

You're right, but it's strange 'cause I assigned the audio devices for input/output. That was the first thing I did after install. Even I recorded some voice samples to test the VST FX plugins and see if the problem was general, and the recording and VST worked well. The only issue was the midi editor.

The funny thing is I open Reaper before changing the ini file, and the Audio device was there. Then I tested with a midi item, and that was already solved. I mean, I was suffering since last week because of this and you said "the audio device is closed" and magicly solve it lol.

THANK YOU!
You all deserve heaven :')
