This would be really cool. I can't think of any way to achieve this currently. Reaper would have to use two different item background images, I think.
Edit: Although, an added disadvantage would be that the item color doesn't show in the tiny version, afaik.
Edit:
After changing some preferences, you can get quite close. Still no way to have icons to differentiate audio vs MIDI, but I can personally live without.

Thats great Mordi, thank you so much for looking into it! Being able to edit the items as "boxes' when the label font is zoomed at the minimum height is really nice
And it seems quite close, at least to me better as it is now.
About the icons for midi-audio , yeah i could live also without it, maybe it's nice to do a feature request about it.
One question: Is it possible to show the notes or waveforms more transparent inside the label font by theming?

No, I don't think so. As far as I know, the only element we can control the opacity of is MIDI CC-information that is displayed in MIDI items.

Yeah, I think it will be either this or FLeaper.
I want to make the IO-buttons look better before releasing. I'm experimenting with this sort of thing. Staying as true to FL as possible. I used the colors that the pan knob uses. Notice the little blips at the bottom.
Edit: Looks a bit weird. I'll probably go back to the drawing board on this one at some point.
Looks nice when sending downward, but not so much when sending upward.
Edit: This makes more sense to me.

I like the fact that you pay attention to small details
Edit: Is it possible to make the vertical and horizontal gridlines more wide as it is in FL? It would be very nice and helpful while editing.

Damn this is looking ace!
I'm wondering how many tracks I'll be able to view at a time in the arrange (at 2560x1440). The tracks look nice and compact.
Keep up the awesome work! Really looking forward to trying this out (and I've never even used FL! Hah)

FL Reaper sounds good too. Love your work so far.
Being a FL Studio user, it's nice to see the same theme in different DAWs.

Først av alt så ser dette veldig bra ut Mordi
Always wanted something more visually to track the sends/receives. I wonder if it is possible to create a script that draws send/receive "cables" to and from tracks?

Thanks! That would be nice, but it's not possible at the moment. The grid is hardcoded at 1 pixel width, afaik.

Thanks Crumbfort! I like to work with tiny track sizes (24 px), and only TCP - so that's the most important layout for my own use as well.

Takk tvm79!
That would be really cool and useful, but I highly doubt it's possible at the moment.

Mostly jazz/improv-based stuff. I’ve been to local jazz festivals in your country a few times. A lot of the music doesn’t sound typically like jazz, though. I like the music that is hard to categorize, and found that some of the most creative music was made in Norway!

FL Reaper has my vote!
FLeaper still makes me think of Fleas.. and now, for some odd reason..
FLubber
It's such a nice theme, it really deserves a nice name.

Cool! It seems like we are way into Jazz. I haven't gotten into much myself, but I do like norwegian bands from the 70's and 80's like Popol Vuh and LAVA. I guess that's more westcoast/AOR.

Hi Mordi,
I have one question, altough it is little beyond the FL theme. Is it possible to have track just fx inserts and send and routings in MCP?
I was thinking that it would be great to have a theme that could open mixer and arrange view. Mixer would be with just fx inserts, sends and routings. TCP tracks would have volume, pan, mute, solo etc.
That way everything could be done in just one window

I just gave it a go, and I couldn't find a way to do it. There seems to be some hardcoded minimum value for the MCP height. Either that, or there is some setting I'm not aware of.
I haven't used this setting at all:
Quote:
mcp.extmixer.position: Position of extended mixer elements (including FX, sends, FX parameters), only used if extmixer.mode is set to [1]
|
Maybe you could use that somehow?

Thanks Arthur! Lots of FL users coming out of the closet in this thread. =P
More work on responsiveness in the MCP.
This is how looks when the MCP is as small as can be.
This makes more sense, since at this size the fx-list will be showing anyway.

FL Studio mac version: very buggy, lots of crashing for me.
Can't wait to use this Theme, so that it would feel using like a rocksolid, stable FL Studio.

You can continue using fl studio as vsti, as sampler inside reaper. Perfect combination.
Now I 'discovered' or had the idea, via automatic programming the pins modulo n, we can get Reasamplomatic with as many outputs as we want! This will be then my favourite sampler in future I guess. Using the midi method, put into same track as many rs5k as you want, sequentially, setting each a different pin (this has to be automated, count % n, if you want n outputs).
Normally those should happen automatically. If you drag 16 samples into RS5k, first sample should get e.g. pitch 36, next 37, ... , regarding the triggering notes. Then regarding the outputs, it should use above count % n automatic assignment, for n outputs. Good side is, both can be solved via lua, so all ok. But in reality RS5k has those big weaknesses.

Cool! I want to get it into your hands as a beta version ASAP, but I keep coming across things I need to do. =P
I've got MCP folder states in there now. I'm not a huge fan of how it looks, but it's the best alternative I can think of at the moment. I don't like changing the height based on folder states.
Here's a screenshot of everything at the moment, in a sound effect project.

Thanks! That's 1920x1080. I don't have a 4k screen myself, but I'm definitely doing a 4k version. I've made all the assets with this in mind.
