Default Blue Screen by Reaper (SOLVED)

Hello Gentlemen!

I've been dealing with really annoying problem recently. Every time I run Reaper on my computer and do anything within the software, I get a blue screen and I have no idea how to prevent that from happening.

Here's the deal: I take sound engineering at university and Reaper is our obligatory DAW we work on. Before university, I've been producing music for around 10 years, at first with FL Studio, then with PreSonus Studio One. Both run fluently on my system, trouble begins with the very moment of installing Reaper. As illogical and impossible as it seems to be, it is way too real for me...

I use Windows 10 with Line6 POD UX2 as a soundcard.

Any help highly appreciated!
Cheers.

Hi and welcome to the forums.
Would be helpful to know the spec of your computer, etc., but my first suggestion would be to re-download Reaper & when installing. it, choose the portable install option.
This bypasses your original installation & leaves it untouched, so any customisation you have done isnt lost, plus sets up a fresh clean install.
If that one gives you blue screens, we will have to think again.
Have a look at the free user guide and the excellent fdree video tutorials if you havent already

Samsung DP700A3 AIO
Intel Core i5 3.6 GHz
RAM 8GB
Radeon HD 7690M graphics
+ Line6 UX2 as the soundcard

Studio One 3 (very demanding DAW) works fine with no issues. So does FL Studio on maximum graphics settings.

No form of reinstall works, always the same thing happens.

What if you use a different audio driver in Reaper's preferences?

Also, what does the BSOD say?

BSOD says: "Stopcode: DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION".

Somehow it seems to work (yet) with ASIO4ALL instead of ASIO UX2 (which I find much more efficient to work with, honestly).

Seems like Line6 ASIO driver isn't playing nice with Reaper... Also try using WASAPI.

"In general this stop code is caused by faulty driver code that under certain conditions, does not complete its work within the allotted time frame"

If there were a mini dump we could tell exactly how long that was but it would be irrelevant other than being academic.

Thanks guys, somehow I got it to work even with my Line6. Maybe Reaper needed some configuration with different drivers, now seems to be perfectly fine and functional.

This software surprises me and my professors every time we use it...
