Default midi zoom question

i may have not set this right so correct me if you feel so.

One reason why we zoom in to a midi event is so that you can focus on certain
notes and edit them . Invariably i have to take a few extra steps i have to take to get my zoom location and value right.I feel this is because by default when you place your mouse at a certain point in the item and zoom, it tends to zoom and start pushing the events to the left side of the screen. Ideally wherever the mouse or edit cursor is located , that portion should end up at the dead center of the screen.so everytime i have to zoom in and scroll from left to bring the events to the center to edit.
just added a small gif to see if you get the drift of what i am trying to say

regards
zook

Hi Julian ,
My horizontal zoom is set to the mouse currently.
What i personally feel is that the zoom is left biased to the page instead of
center biased.
when you zoom in the events starts getting pushed to the left side of the sceen instead of the center of the screen.then you have to drag the midi editor page again to bring it in the center.
