Default Shared mode issue

Encountered a strange problem today using Reaper. All the available audio systems (WASABI, which I usually use, as well as Direct Sound and Wave Out) are acting like ASIO4ALL where they only allow audio from Reaper. If I load up a Youtube tab, for instance, I am greeted with a spinning wheel unless I shut down Reaper.

This has only started today and I can't figure out why. On WASABI, toggling between shared mode and exclusive makes no difference. I also noticed today that I can only record from my interface while in exclusive, whereas before it didn't matter at all.

Really puzzled unless I'm missing something blindingly obvious. Any help appreciated.

Any ideas, folks? I'm now finding really bad latency when recording that didn't exist before too.

My setup is really simple, just running everything through a Focusrite 2i2 interface. Usually use WASABI in Reaper. Can't figure out why it's now behaving like ASIO and monopolising everything, or why I'm now getting latency. No hardware changes. Maybe a Windows update? Not sure if that messed something up. I also use Sonarworks Ref 4 so wonder if that has caused some kind of audio device change, but I always disable it while tracking.

Now when I exit Reaper and want to use other PC audio (eg from Chrome) I have to physically disable and re-enable my Focusrite in control panel in order for it to work. A bit stumped.
