Default [SOLVED] how to adjust envelope segment with mouse wheel

Hi,

Is there a way to create an envelope segment at the time selection over an envelope, and then adjust the whole segment up and down with the mousewheel in steps?

I've found a script for adjusting individual envelope points but not whole segments.

Thanks.

I don't think there's a mousewheel action but I use SWS/'Insert two envelope points at time selection' and drag the segment up or down. edit: you can use up/down arrow too, with selected first point or segment.

Here's a custom action I made for doing what you want. All I have to do is set up the time selection, then hold the mouse over the envelope and press the shortcut key. It creates 4 points and lowers inside points down 2dB.

Code:
Select env, insert 4 points at tm selection, Dwn 2dB 2
SWS/BR: Select envelope at mouse cursor
Envelope: Insert 4 envelope points at time selection
Envelopes: Move selected points down a little bit
Envelopes: Move selected points down a little bit
Go to start of time selection

Adjust volume envelope points w/ mousewheel. Edgemeal has a script in that topic for this.

Thanks for replying, Tod. Yes, I'd set up something similar based on a tip from one of Jon Tidey's videos.

But, Xpander, thanks so much. That script from Edgemeal works perfectly. It's so slick to be able to adjust your volume envelope with the mouse wheel rather than by grabbing the envelope segment and dragging! It also fits so well with Reaper's amazing mouse based editing - which my customisation is definitely trying to embrace.

Edgemeal actually helped me out directly with another query I had recently. Might have to send another little thank you their way!

Cheers

'a cup of coffee' has been sent Edgemeal's way.

Thanks as usual xpander.

Are those scripts in ReaPack? If so, do you know the names of them.

I checked ReaPack and Edgemeal has quite a few scripts, but I couldn't find anything I thought related to these scripts.

Glad you got it going IrishRover79.

Tod, I don't know if that specific script is in ReaPack, I don't use it. I just grab scripts like this from topics if and when I see them useful.

That is very kind of you xpander, and I'm baffled at how you can remember where to find all that stuff.

Thanks Tod. Luckily memory hasn't been too much of a problem for me, especially if I have had some active involvement in the given issue. But maintaining my search-fu is probably even more important factor...
