Default [5.91] Automation items misbehave near their borders

If I make an automation item with a sharp transition, it appears that there is a short invisible ramp (about 12ms long) from the previous value to the new one: as shown in the gifs, the tooltips show these "ghost" automation values.
The problem appears after both automation item borders (on the inside and on the outside, as shown in the gifs), and with any kind of transition (my gifs show only from loud to quiet because it's easier to confirm the problem by hearing the short "pop").

That is interesting FR also to increase area for some special regions. Other example item volume upper line. I cant often aim that and there is no reason to grab item so high.

Default Prevent pop-click noises

There was some discussion about this behavior in automation thread, starting around post #335,

IOW if maybe it was coded that way to prevent a possible pop-click noise on hard transitions?

EDIT Justin basically confirms what I said, it is to prevent clicks.

I just tried setting "Options: Automation items connect to the underlying envelope on both sides"[*] and putting an automation point on the underlying envelope right at the left edge of the automation item: the click is still there but much fainter (like 22dB or so quieter, at least with my test sample).

*: BTW, in the menu it says "attach" but in the action list it says "connect".

This behaviour is problematic .

Please devs, is it possible to add an option to set the time of automation data transition between envelope and AI edges ?

To avoid impacting on AI, at the start of AI, transition should start before the AI, and at the end of AI after the AI.

Or delete this transition time ?

It happens when an AI edge is not connected to envelope.

Nice solution : AI fade-in and fade-out.

Yep and one transition time which takes 12 ms instead 0.1 ms is inexplicable/bad (lake of precision, unexpected result/sound).

Listen the difference :

Why Justin refuses to listen my video or to change the time transition from 12 ms to 0.1 ms ? It seems he hasn't understand the issue with 12 ms...
