track_fcomp_*.png are not appearing on tracks
I just noticed that my track_fcomp_*.png buttons are not appearing on my tracks anymore. Not really sure why that's the case. They are still there in my theme folder, but I just don't see them on any tracks in tcp.
Any ideas why that might be?

Any ideas? It seems weird that the buttons would just disappear to me. could it have had to do with some 5.x update?

I'll suggest two possibilities, due to masking or size...
1. Masking...they are being hidden...specify them in the correct order in the 'front' directive
2. Sometimes they are not drawn due to their size...possibly they are too large to be drawn in the space allocated to them
good luck...cheers

Yes, but the folder buttons are custom, and they just don't appear where they used to be. However, I do see a number there. There's a small possibility that I used those buttons with an older theme, but I really don't think so. I've been using this one for a very long time. Is there a way I can check a file somewhere to see if these files are listed at all? I'm using a heavily modified version of rado 4 if that means anything to you.

Hmm, could be, but do you think that's something that could spontaneously change at some point with an update or something? Because when I made the buttons, they definitely worked. Maybe it was with an older theme, but I feel like I've always been using that button, and it only recently disappeared on me.

Its not going to be possible to help you using my psychic powers alone, strong though they may be.

Sorry, I somehow lost track of this thread, and it came up for me again, and I re-remembered I had never sent you a screenshot. So, here it is.
Is it difficult to add the folder as an extra button? I think maybe that button I made could have been off an older theme I was using.
If that's the case, would it be possible to easily just copy that button over?
There would be one problem though, the track number for my current theme over in the top left of each track is basically where that button was, as I recall, so, I'd have to move it down.
If I could maybe center it, and change the font, and maybe make a little border level change with a drop shadow or something, that might be cool too.
But this might all be getting in over my head.

You know what? I think it WAS for this theme that I had that button. Idk where it could have gone, and how it is that there are track numbers where I seem to recall it used to be. The buttons I used are in my current folder, and their styling matches other buttons I probably copied and changed the color for. So, I don't know WHAT happened there.

How can I make sure they aren't being hidden? I did a search for "track_fcomp" in rtconfig.txt, and it didn't find any entries for that, even in default 5.0 theme rtconfig.
What should I be looking for?

I found what might be a clue? Idk, but I can load a reapertheme, and as it's switching over, where the track number is on my current theme like in the picture, the button I had made appears, but it looks like it appears on top of the track number, since I don't see the track numbers at all, until that button disappears.
Maybe there's an option somehow as a layout for there to be either track numbers or the folder button? Ideally I'd have both.

Ok, I solved it!
Adding this did it:
Code:
set tcp.foldercomp [2 24 19 16 0 0 0 0]
Just tucked the button in under the track number, which is
Code:
set tcp.trackidx [2 5 19 16 0 0 0 0]
Now I just need to make it pretty.
