Default Crossfade between two regions when clicking play on next region

Hello, I use reapers region manager to do our live backing tracks. Each region is a song. We have it set up so when the region ends the playback stops then when ready we can start the next one. I wanted to see if it was possible so that if a song is currently playing, and we click the next region to play, it will crossfade - fade out of the current audio like 3 seconds and at the same time fade in to the next song that was just clicked. This way there is no complete silence between songs.

Welcome to the Reaper forums!

AFAIU, there are some tools for this listed in the sticky thread here.

That’s one of the reason to no use regions for your songs but rather use separate tabs.
Another reason is to have completely independent timeline
Also being able to only open the songs you need at any given moment instead of always opening the whole set.

It’s worth considering.
