Default Scoring to picture in Reaper - marker issue

Afternoon all

Starting my first attempt to score to picture in Reaper. I've imported the video (matched the frame and bps) and have the video playing in a floating window. The video track is set to 'time' so that it isn't impacted by tempo changes.

After going through the track and setting markers at the 'hit' points I started altering the tempo to match the action. However, the markers started moving and no longer matched the video. I tried 'right-clicking' the lock icon and setting markers to locked but they were still moving with tempo changes.

Is there a way to fix the markers so they don't move once set unless you physically alter them? Is it possible to have multiple rulers and have the markers fixed to a 'frame' based ruler for the video which wouldn't be affected by alterations in the tempo or time signature?

Many thanks in advance

Jonathan

Any time you alter tempo in the middle of a project, check all tempo markers afterwards religiously. There are several long standing bugs in this realm and they can really wreak havoc on the project.

Thanks. I'll consider myself warned.
