Odds'n'ends questions.

Hi,

I've just done a build (with some minor edits) of reaper_surf.dll (using Visual C++ Express 2008) and the file is 631KB whereas the original was 54KB...

The changes, so far, work but why has the file size increased so dramatically? I haven't added anything yet - just performed edits.

Am wondering if I've done something wrong...

You've built it in DEBUG-configuration. Set Visual Studio to build as a RELEASE. I think sws was wrong in saying the project is set to build as release straight from the box...

Edit: OK got it - 'Build'->'Configuration Manager'->'Active solution configuration:Release

The compiler included in the Visual Studio 2008 is probably quite different than the compiler that Cockos uses. Could explain the size difference. Nothing to worry about, the DLLs are not so huge things in any case...
